Polymarket alternatives: what to compare

Polymarket is one of the best-known prediction markets, but it is not the only way to follow or trade event odds. This page gives you a practical checklist for comparing alternatives and explains, factually, what Astra Quant does and does not do.

Updated: 1 November 2026. Educational material, not financial advice. Astra Quant is independent and not the official Polymarket site.

Why people look for an alternative

Common reasons include availability in their country, a preference for a different interface or language, wanting to practise before using money, or wanting tools that sit on top of market data — alerts, live sports views, analytics. Which alternative suits you depends on which of these matters most.

A checklist for comparing prediction market platforms

  1. Where the prices come from. Does the platform run its own order book, or does it show data from another market? Both are legitimate, but you should know which one you are looking at.
  2. Liquidity and volume. A price is only as meaningful as the money behind it. Look for 24-hour volume and liquidity on each market.
  3. Resolution rules. Every market should state exactly what counts as Yes, the end date and the source of truth. Vague rules are a red flag.
  4. Access and legality. Prediction markets are restricted or banned in some jurisdictions. Check your local law and the platform’s terms before you deposit anything.
  5. Costs. Look for spread, trading fees, and deposit or withdrawal costs. Read them on the platform itself; do not rely on third-party summaries.
  6. Exit options. Can you sell before resolution? How are disputed results handled?
  7. Practice mode. Is there a way to learn with virtual funds first?
  8. Language and support. Is the interface available in your language, and is there a real support contact?

How Astra Quant works

Astra Quant is an independent project and is not the official Polymarket site. Here is what it does, stated as plainly as possible:

For details of the token, terms and contacts see About, Terms and Pricing. For how Polymarket itself works — settlement, the oracle, how prices form — read our Polymarket guide (Russian).

How to test any alternative in ten minutes

  1. Pick one market you understand, for example a match or a price level you follow.
  2. Compare its price across the platforms you are considering. Prices on the same event should be close; a large gap usually means low liquidity on one side or different rules.
  3. Read the resolution rules on each platform.
  4. Check how quickly prices update during a live event.
  5. Place a practice trade in demo mode if available, and try to sell it before the end.

The live market below is loaded from Astra Quant right now; use it for step 2. If you are new to the format, start with What is a prediction market and the probability calculator.
